It is the end of the system that gave birth to Sin City. Reality is simply hit-or-miss: you fall in love with your job again, you pay more, and you still end up fizzling out, possibly even losing your life. The poor’s life is also a life. The life of a cop is also a life. It’s just that everyone values their own life. No, that’s not a life for poor people born in the wrong zip code, people of colour, and the system. A paper bag defines one’s life. The poor fella on the corner’s life is in the bottle, in the paper bag. Your life is no longer in your own hands once you exit the paper bag. A poor person’s life, so much like a police officer, should not be equal to just three small portions of drugs, and if people are going to die, they should pass away for what it’s worth.

In reality, the actions you must take to survive are referred to as “compromise”; the police, who have the authority to enforce the law, choose to ignore the behaviour as “compromise,”; and those in the institution that enacted the lousy law? They are standing in a magnificent room, holding a beautiful glass of wine, and requesting that everyone else “compromise” for the sake of social order. No one questions the game’s rules, established by a gang of irresponsible bastards.

What exactly is compromised? Compromise can be found in politics, economics, and personal life. Simply put, you must “collaborate with others.” The Center appears to be a way to improve everyone’s lives and make it even easier to play. People will always have different interests, values, and moral perspectives, necessitating compromise, both necessary and beneficial, but not without cost. And those who enacted unjust laws and those who work in the system believe they have chosen the best solution that works. But what about the truth? Every class of people is forced to work their way through the system and live a life of calculation. Seems to be the bottom line of the negotiated settlement, the law? Or is it moral? Neither. When it comes to unequal power dynamics, the bottom line of payment is human life.

When the dust of justice falls on someone’s head, it turns into an overburdening mountain. No matter how ambitious and determined one is to change, in the end, one must not sacrifice everything for the sake of survival. Everyone lives a buggered life but must deal with this messed-up society. As a grown-up, you must acknowledge that the world is not supported by law, morality, or civilization but by the cold regulation of the jungle, widely recognized as Systemic Bias. As a result, the outcome is not the optimal solution designed by society and character but the equilibrium solution produced by multiple forces.
